Web Application Developer

You'll join a skilled development team on a variety of work everything from building new tools and services, creating cool mashups, implementing UI changes and enhancements, and innovating using new technologies to create our next generation products.

Were looking for someone innovative, who is willing to work with and extend others work, explore open source initiatives, and embrace emerging technologies.

Must have experience and strong skills in the following:

  • Web application development particularly on high-traffic, database-driven sites using mySQL, PHP5, Apache
  • Advanced PHP5 using OO methodologies
  • Joomla framework, Joomla component development, Joomla UI design, Joomla (X)HTML/CSS2
  • JavaScript, jquery
  • Relevant W3C standards and best practices

Additional, relevant skills appreciated:

  • Experience dealing with web application performance, reliability, scalability, load-balancing in a geographically disparate Production environment
  • Strong database skills - mySQL or PostgreSQL development and implementation, including complex SQL query authoring and optimization
  • Solid understanding of UNIX operating system (FreeBSD) Unix sys/net admin experience in corporate environment a plus
  • TCP/IP networking, OS knowledge a plus
  • C/C++
  • PERL and CGI protocols
